Sticky PostingsThePubPedal.com The "Pub Pedal" is Not just about alcohol. It's about socializing and riding with like minded bicycle enthusiasts. Thursday nights (weather permitting) area bike enthusiasts meet at the Shamrock Lounge 1724 W Douglas Ave 7:00pm (or so). From there the group rides Eastward stopping at other establishments along the way. Anyone is welcome to ride but you must be 21 to enter most establishments. All types of bikes and bikers are welcome. There is probably more socializing than riding so don't worry if you are not in the best riding shape. Some people ride from home while others haul their bikes to somewhere near the start. Head and tail lights are a must!. This ride is not affiliated with any one particular group or organization. Tandem Night The last Thursday in May. Hallowheelie - The Thursday before Halloween. Ride in costume. Christmas Lights Cruise - 2 Thursdays before Christmas. Patriotic Pub Pedal - the Thursday before Independence Day. Cowboy Night and Cardboard Box Night are just a couple of the other special rides we've had. Not a record turn-out but still a good time. I believe there were around 13 tandems that showed up.
            Wednesday, April 24. 2013Tandem Night VII Tandem Night VII (that's 7 for you non Romans.) Thursday, May 23rd. 7:00pm(ish) at the Shamrock Lounge 1724 West Douglas, Wichita. Great turn-out and beautiful weather for our 6th annual Christmas lights Cruise last night. Lots of decorated and lighted bikes. New this year was the ugly Christmas sweater contest with Dan & Lora receiving the award. Thanks to Dave for the ugly sweater trophy.
Mine and Ralph's photos here. Video... Saturday, November 24. 20126th Annual Christmas Lights Cruise Thursday, December 13th. Meet at the Shamrock Lounge. We'll need to leave the Shamrock no later than 8:00pm. The Lights On St Paul closes at 9:00pm. Also they take donations so bring some cash if you'd like to donate. Decorate yourself and your bike. Dig deep in to the back of your closet or that chest in the attic or basement. Let's see who has the ugliest/gaudiest Christmas sweater/shirt/vest. Don't have one? Make or buy one. The person who is judged to have the ugliest Christmas sweater/shirt/vest at this years Christmas Lights Cruise will win a trophy! |
