2009 Partridge Pedal Party

A parade down the dirt road main street, eclectic trophies for bikes, pulled pork sandwiches in the school cafeteria, bicycle games and contests, door prizes, great baked and other goods for sale by Mennonites and others and live music. This was the second Partridge Pedal Party the Coasters attended and it was just as fun as the first. The weather all day was cold and cloudy until we were packing up to leave when the sun finally came out and stayed. Several Coasters came home with trophies...
Dan - Mikey's choice.
Lisa - Megan's choice.
Harpo - Best classic.
Mitch - Best custom.

The wife and I had a good time, It was pretty chilly till the sun came out for good, had to go warm up a couple times. The lunch was good, but the homemade pie was awesome!! Almost as good as the wife's

We went in the barn and found some home baked goodness to bring home. Saw some very strange but cool machines, would have loved to see that huge wheel contraption in motion, all in all it was a pretty neat deal, would have been better if it was a tad warmer though!

Thanks to all who came to the PPP. I think with a little more organizational skills I might be able to have games and such run more smoothly , thus adding more to the day.I had some good donations to buy prizes,so that great. Gave away 11 recycled bikes. The unicycle hockey was a little short on players, but put on a good exhibition. Thanks to all of our community volunteers,and to
the pie makers! Partridge is the BICYCLE CAPITAL of CENTER TOWNSHIP and no doubt is soon to be the BICYCLE CAPITAL of RENO COUNTY, thanks to everyones efforts.

I believe the plan this year w as to have fewer bikes on disp lay so they could be better di splayed. Also bikes that haven 't been in the show before whi ch would narrow it down quite a bit.

I have stopped by the garage.. .. I could have sworn that the re were more people into this kind of event than what has sh own up..... Where are all the bikes! There is alot of good stuff but I know there is much more that could have came!
