1938-39 26 inch skip tooth hawethorn with tank, fenders, springer, and rack. the bike is complete but very ratty, i regreased the bearings and reconditioned the skip tooth chain, and put new period tires on it. it is ratty, but with great patina, and ridable.
i don't really know what to ask for it, if anyone is interested, i could show up to the pub crawl with it.

Anyone remember the spate of small-wheeled bicycles which were a '60s-'70s presence, touted as "portable" or "travelers'" bicycles?
The famous Moulton Stowaway was the delightful fruit of lauded British engineer Sir Alec Moulton, and Brompton and Raleigh, and eventualy practically everyone else, took a turn at the concept.
By the time bell bottoms were gone, so were most of these. Though some variant occasionaly shows up in odd corners, like Hammacher Schlemer.
I have a Tote Bike, if I remember the name correctly, marketed by our venerable Sears, Roebuck and Company. It needs a wheel, I think, and a chain, and dot of this and a dash of that, but shouldn't require much agony to have this curiosity back on the street. The frame is separable in the approximate center via jug-earred thumb screws; hence the claimed portability.
Also to hand are an assortment of the "English lightweights" or "English racers" ...three speeds, in other words... which we secretly pined for when presented our Christmas Schwinn Black Phantoms. Spoiled little ingrates, some of us, in those halcyon days!

Selling my 52, it has been glass beeded and had egg shell clear sprayed on it (highlights the brass welds). Has white walls with the bendix rear brake. Straight chrome bars with tripple tree forks and a hair-pin seat. Great riding bike.

For sale two vintage CCMs. Both are ladies 26 inch one is a 10 speed and one is a 3 speed. Both have unique fenders and a lot of character. We just dug them out and took them for a spin this morning. I have two yellow band, kick-back, 2 speeds in need to get rid of! Had them over twenty years. Have not done anything with them so it's time to give someelse a chance! one model B with HVD spokes, needs some work; and one model D, should be good to go. Take one or both!

I'm looking for a used bike for casual biking. I'd like some sort of cruiser bike, but i'm not really too picky, it just needs to be fairly cheap. I don't want to spend alot of money until I know cycling is something I'll stick with. If anyone knows of somewhere in Wichita where they sell used bikes or if someone has one for sale, please let me know!

Good patina, The usual wear some rust rear rim needs truing flat tires and a basket on the front. It has a 1969 Wichita KS metal bike license tag on it. Kinda pricey though at $150

Just saw your post. It's a bit late for Father's Day, but I have a Schwinn Twinn that I believe is a 1961 model. All original except tire, tubes, which are several years old, should still be OK.

Tandem for sale. French made, multiple-speed, drum brake, road tandem for sale at Architecural Salvage at 133 N St Francis. $200. I haven't seen it I was told about it and thought I'd pass the info along.
Have two 26-inch lady's bikes, one Huffy three-speed, the other a store-brand 10-speed. Both are probably 20-25 years old.
