Some suggestions of my own from last year's experience...
We parked our vehicle and unloaded our bikes at the Home Depot parking lot in Ft Collins. This is across the street from a bike path that takes you right to the brewery and festival. We could meet there and ride as a group to the festivities.
A = Home Depot. B = Brewery. Ignore the driving route and notice the tree lined river. There is a bike path that follows it.

People that rode as a group had something to identify themselves as being together. A theme or shirts etc... I was thinking maybe we could wear matching shirts or just attach a matching sunflower or something that represents Kansas/Wichita to our bikes.
