Still No Bike Rack

It all began nearly 6 years ago with a simple request to my local grocery store to install a bike rack. A few emails, a couple phone calls, the formation of a Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee, 5 years of monthly meetings serving on said committee and a change of the grocery store ownership later, and I still having nothing to lock my bike to when I go shopping, but… I do now have a place to lock my bike when I attend our advisory board meetings which wasn’t the case until recently.

In addition to this rack at city hall we’ve also had 2 others made and installed at other city properties.

The plan I think is once we get city properties racked we will try and partner up with business to install racks on their properties.

Last year we purchased and installed 2 fix-it stations. Pictured is one at our new “activity center”. One of the TV stations came out and did a news story on it.
