Allegheny River Trail – Pennsylvania

The Allegheny River Trail is a paved 28 mile rail-to-trail between the towns of Franklin and Emlenton. We stayed in Franklin and begin riding at the Franklin trail head. We rode to Emlenton and back for a total of 56 miles. The trail follows the Alleghany River the entire route and is very scenic. Views of the river, the trees, 2 tunnels, waterfalls, stone arch bridges and railroad remains are the highlights of this ride.
This ride was one from our Fall 2014 trip.
