Today I drove to meet a friend for lunch in the near-by town of Arkansas City (That’s pronounced r-kansas just like the river). Having only driven through the town a couple times in the past, I took along my bike to explore the city after lunch. I rode around the “historic” downtown area, residential neighborhoods and then stumbled upon a nice multi-use path that went 2.4 miles mostly along top of the levee for the Arkansas River. In total I rode about 13 miles exploring the city.
