After a 10 year hiatus from mountain biking in Colorado we decided to return on this vacation. We managed to get in 3 rides during our 4 day stay in Salida. Our rides included the Arkansas River/Bighorn Sheep Canyon, Marshall Pass and the Leadville Loop.
We traveled a total of 2,174 miles. In addition to biking, during our stay we drove to Gunnison, Crested Butte, Buena Vista, Leadville, Breckenridge, Frisco, Taylor Canyon and Nova’s favorite, over Cottonwood Pass. We crossed paths with deer, bighorn sheep, fox, lizards and chipmunks.
